Selection Information

To be considered for the National Team you must be a Canadian citizen and have a valid passport for international travel.

Selection takes place approximately 3 months prior to the World Championship.

Applications for 2023 opened on 06 August 2023 (click here to complete online form) and will close on 20 August 2023. The team announcement will be made approximately 1 week later. Athletes are expected to have completed the free "True Sport Clean (Untracked)" anti-doping course on the CCES (Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport) website at the time of their application and to submit their certificate of completion with their application.

National Team Selection will be based on the performances registered in the previous 24 months prior to the date of the World Championships.

It is the responsibility of the athlete to apply to the ACU using the application form linked to this webpage when applications are open. It is essential that the athlete checks that their performance(s), wherever they may have been run, are posted on the DUV ranking list.

A team of up to 6 men and 6 women will be selected. The team size is at the discretion of the ACU.
