George Biondic Breaks Three M70 Records

Congratulations to George Biondic of Ontario, who set a new 48 Hour M70 record of 217.261km with his performance at 3 Days at the Fair (6 Day Run) in New Jersey in May 2023. His performance surpassed the 48 Hour M70 record of 210.824km set in 2017 by Donald Landry. George went on to break the M70 72 Hour record, covering 294.510km, and the M70 6 Day record, with a final total of 550.396km. His 72 Hour and 6 Day distances bettered the former records held by Charlie Upshall of 288.073km and 500.506km, respectively.
Catrin Jones breaks 6 Hour and 50 Mile Records

Congratulations to Catrin Jones, who set new 6 Hour Open (and W40) records of 78.571km with her performance at Survivorfest in Sherwood Park, Alberta in June 2023. Her performance surpassed the 6 Hour record of 75.538km which she set in 2020. Catrin went on to break the 50 Mile Open (and W40) records in a time of 6:08:16, which bettered the previous record held by her of 6:09:11.

Team Canada for 24hr World Championships 2023

Congratulations to those selected to represent Canada at the 2023 IAU 24H World Championships in Taiwan (Chinese Taipei) on 1-2 December 2023. The event will also be hosting the concurrent World Masters Athletics (WMA) 24H World Championships.

Trishul Cherns sets two new M65 records

Congratulations to Canadian Trishul Cherns, a resident of New York, who set a new 72 Hour M65 record of 347.618km with his performance at 3 Days at the Fair (6 Day Run) in New Jersey in May 2023. His performance surpassed the 72 Hour M65 record of 339.572km set in 2018 by George Biondic. Trishul went on to break the M65 6 Day record, covering 677.533km, which bettered the former record held by him of 651.784km.
IAU 50km World Championships Team Members

Canada will be sending one male, Scott Cooper (AB), to the 2023 50km World Championships in India and a team of three females, Heidi Frehlich (AB), Gina Tranquada (MB), and Emily James (AB). Congratulations to all those selected to represent Canada on the world stage this November!
New 48 Hour Men's Records

Congratulations to Jerry Hughes of BC, who set a new 48 Hour Open record of 368.036km with his performance at Fat Ox Endurance Runs (Arizona) in December 2022, surpassing the 48 Hour Open record of 358.163km set in 2018 by Dave Proctor and the M40 age group record of 304.051km set in 2009 by Sylvain Bernier.
